Our day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with Ritchie as our guide was absolutely fantastic! Ritchie\’s enthusiasm and humor made the journey incredibly enjoyable from start to finish. He was not only knowledgeable about the area but also incredibly attentive to everyone\’s needs, ensuring we all felt comfortable and engaged throughout the day. The itinerary he planned was perfectly balanced, allowing us to experience the peninsula\’s stunning landscapes, charming villages, and hidden gems without feeling rushed. Thanks to Ritchie\’s expertise and thoughtful approach, we had an unforgettable and delightful day. Highly recommend him to anyone visiting the area!
Heidi and (her husband) Captain Thor were amazing. The forecast wasn’t looking to good since there was a storm rolling in. Heidi informed us beforehand that the tour might be cut short and if we weren’t ok with that we could ask for a refund and not take the tour. So glad I did. We almost hit every stop of our itinerary and Heidi was an amazing tour guide. One can tell she used to be teacher ? Captain Thor was a very good driver and I felt perfectly safe even though you could see the streets for some time due to the snow. I would love to do the Golden Circle again and would book it through Bus travel Iceland again. Only little complaint: they moved our pick up time one hour early and I was told that by 22pm the day before. The weather conditions had been clear for a long time. It would have been better if they told you earlier
We enjoyed the tour though the weather was not great. The guide Noi was helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all the questions that were asked by the group. We also had an expert bus driver Eon (not sure if spelt correctly) who drove us safely through the rough weather.
We enjoyed the tour. The guide, do not remember her name but she is referred as “The Pink Lady”. She was very knowledgeable, organized and disciplined.
An excellent full day tour seeing so much of the country and learning about the history.
Our guide, Tony provided interesting and entertaining information about the site\’s we visited, and the history. All delivered with a great sense of humour.
First stop was the horse and tomato farm. The horses are lovely and gentle. It was lovely to see a demonstration of their 5 gaits and to say hello to some of the lovely Icelandic horses. The tomato green houses are fascinating and the restaurant offers a huge range of delicious dishes, a lot made from the tomatoes grown on site. The home made bread is excellent.
Second stop, the fantastic and powerful waterfalls. All set in an environment that could be other worldly. Another chance to see nature at its finest.
Third stop, the geysers and a chance to see, hear and smell the wonders of nature as 100c water spouted from several hot pots. An amazing sight of nature at is wildest.
Fourth stop, a walk along the tectonic fissure and seeing where the first governments met, and where sentence by drowning were carried out. The sun was beginning to set, and the skies were spectacular. A breathtaking walk in the most beautiful landscape. Highly recommend this tour, and our tour guide Tony, for an experience to be remembered.
I loved it all so much that I want to come back in Summer to experience more of Icelands magnificent scenery and hospitality
