We at BusTravel Iceland understand this and to help and encourage younger visitors to our land have designed this tour package to cater to families traveling with younger children. Kids as young as 2 are welcome on our tours and we can provide child seats if you prefer to travel light.
Enjoy touring the highlights of the Golden Circle, South Iceland and the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to the west.
Children will be entertained at the erupting Strokkur geyser, the walking trail that takes them behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall, and testing their stength with the Djúpalónssandur lifting stones. Discover the Golden Circle, Southern Iceland and Snæfellsnes Peninsula in the west.
The 3 tours can be enjoyed in whatever order you prefer. You can also take rest days in between if your wish. Just contact our customer service department who will be only too happy to assist you.

- Day 1: Golden Circle Afternoon Tour
We know it can be a challenge to get kids out the door in the morning, which makes the later start time of our Golden Circle Afternoon Tour especially helpful for families. The kids will love visiting Kerið Volcanic Crater as well as the massive hot-water ejected up to 40 meters in the air at Geysir.
Let them run around Thingvellir National Park while enjoying the unique geological fissure and cliffs. They are also sure to be impressed by the immense power of Gullfoss Waterfall.
1 Day 2: South Coast Waterfalls, Glacier & Black Sand Beach TourDay 2 features the highlights of the south coast. Kids will be fascinated by Sólheimajökull glacier and our guides always come out with educational facts about how glaciers have sculpted the famous Icelandic landscape.
Test your fitness and try to scale the 370 steps to the top of Skógafoss waterfall. Take the walking path behind Seljalandsfoss Waterfall but be sure to wear your raincoat before you begin.
Visit Iceland´s most famous black sand beach, Reynisfjara. In summer the famed basalt cliffs here simply teem with birdlife, specifically puffins.
- Day 3: Snæfellsnes Peninsula Tour
The final day of this package takes you west, to Snæfellsnes peninsula, often called Iceland in miniature. This is due to the fact that one can see great diversity of landscapes in one small area. Snæfellsnes has a great black sand beach at Djúpalónssandur, bird cliffs at Arnarstapi and Iceland´s most famous mountain, Mt. Kirkjufell.
