Join us for a horse riding adventure as we travel through the mountains and rivers that define the southern Iceland landscape.
Depending on the level of experience of our group we have a variety of different routes available to us that will accomodate everyone.
Experience Icelandic nature up close and personal
Icelandic horses have a rich heritage and history with Icelandic people. The horses that live in Iceland can have their heritage traced back to the original horses brought to the island by the vikings. Thanks to lax breeding rules they come in a wide variety of shapes and colours. These animals, though short in stature, are capable of 5 separate gaits including the famous Tölt, a four beat gait in which one hoof is always in contact with the floor.
Your day of Horse Riding adventure will begin with either our fast and efficient pick up service, or for those with their own transport a short drive to our stable. (Solhestar Horse Rental)
We ride in small groups and offer personal and friendly service! This tour is about 7-10 km, depending on the experience of the riders.
