Whale Watching Boat Tour from Reykjavík Harbour

Join our whale watching cruise and witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

With year-round daily departures, our whale watching boat tour gives our guests the best chance of successful sightings of diverse sea life including minke whales, harbor porpoises and white beaked dolphins.

Our specialized vessels take you far out into faxaflói bay and behind in search of these noble creatures. This bay is known to be rich in plankton and krill, which make up the vast portion of whales´diets. The bay´s location between the warm and cold North Atlantic currents provides the perfect waters for cetacean. The bay is also known to be rich in plankton and krill, which make up the vast portion of whales´diets.

Though less commonly sighted on our tours, if you are lucky you might see other species including humpback whales or Orcas (also known as killer whales), fin whales and blue whales.

Our tours are from the old harbour area in central Reykjavík, a stone´s throw from the landmark Harpa Concert Hall.
