The Perlan Museum and Golden Circle Tour is a great option for those who want to combine all the highlights of the Golden Circle and a world class exhibition at Perlan dome, The Wonders of Iceland. The interactive museum is one of the most ambitious exhibitions in Iceland where scientific wonders come alive all around you; glaciers, volcanoes, oceanic wonders, seabirds and northern lights. The Wonders of Iceland give you a proper insight into the forces of Icelandic nature before you are picked up to feel Icelandic nature on you own skin. You will be picked up at Perlan, by our team, and taken on a true adventure with one of our enthusiastic guides. You will explore, inhale and experience the unique wonders on the Golden Circle; Thingvellir National Park, Geysir Geothermal Area, Gullfoss Waterfall and Kerið Volcanic Crater.

The Glacier and Ice Cave exhibition brings a glacier to the city center. The exhibition starts with a walk through of the first man-made ice cave of its kind in the world. The ice cave leads to a dramatic
multimedia exhibit providing more detail about Iceland’s treasured glaciers, the future of glaciers and the effects of global warming. A perfect first stop on the trip to Iceland that is suitable for all ages.
The customers will be picked up at Perlan between 10:30 and 11:00.
Pick-up from Perlan is between 10:30 and 11:00. Then the buses meet at 10-11 Kringlan and the tour departs from there at 11:00.
Look at the beautiful colors of the volcanic crater Kerið!
Kerið is a striking crater-lake filled with milky blue-green water amid stark black and deep red slopes. Geologists now believe it to be a collapsed magma chamber at the end of a volcanic eruption that occurred more than 6,000 years ago.
Get fascinated by the amazing Geysir geyser!
In the Geysir geothermal area in the Haukadalur valley, Strokkur fountain geyser spouts water high into the air every few minutes. In case hunger is eating you up enjoy some traditional Icelandic food at the Glíma Geysir restaurant.
The Golden Waterfall Gullfoss is a great photo opportunity!
The iconic waterfall of Gullfoss, or Golden Falls, is only a 7 minutes’ drive from Geysir – located in the glacial river Hvítá. It's elegant and majestic form is like no other, where the torrential river water plummets in two steps down into a 32 meters deep canyon.

Þingvellir National Park is not only a site of geological wonder, located at the intersection of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates but also a place charged with history, as the site of the national parliament since 930. Þingvellir tells stories of geographical and political struggles, compromises and ongoing evolution. Þingvellir was accepted on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its cultural values in 2004.
The tour ends with drop-off in Reykjavik.
After drop-off we will head to our headquarter at Skógarhlíð 10.
The day begins at Perlan Museum at 9am (pickup not included) where you will live a truly unique experience through ground-breaking technology, science, photography and design. Wonders of Iceland is a truly amazing and interactive exhibition that provides a deep insight into Iceland's unique nature thanks to the joined forces of latest science and the best museum curators and technologists.
The Wonders of Iceland exhibition include a real ice cave (100-meter long) and an interactive glacier exhibition. There is also an immersive Forces of Nature show, 10-meter high Látrabjarg Cliff with lifelike seabirds and virtual reality entertainment, a virtual aquarium and more. Perlan, one of Reykjavík‘s most iconic buildings, stands upon the capital‘s highest hill. The 360° Viewing Deck is excellent, with picture panels and geological samples from around Reykjavík. At Perlan, you experience and learn to understand Wonders of Iceland.
Between 10.30 and 11.00 you will be picked up in front of Perlan for the Golden Circle Afternoon tour. One of our experienced guide will take you to the most renowned natural pearls of the Southwest of Iceland in a single afternoon.
Our first stop is the geological wonder and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Þingvellir National Park. Þingvellir sits on the intersection of two tectonic plates that slowly drift apart from one another, creating a dramatic and rugged Rift Valley with many impressive open cracks and fissures. This is one of the few places in the world where it is possible to observe a Rift Valley on dry land.
Þingvellir is also charged with history and tells stories of political struggles, compromises and ongoing evolution. Icelands first parliament, Althing, was established here in 930. It was an open air assembly until the end of the 17th century and a big point of gathering where people from all around the island united once a year to make and amend law, settle disputes and form alliances. As you walk down the big fault of Almannagjá towards the Rift Valley you drop into the scenery and atmosphere of the Viking era and truly walk in the footsteps of the Vikings coming for their annual meeting point.
Next stop is Geysir Geothermal area where you get the chance to observe the erupting hot spring Strokkur spout steaming water up to 20 meters into the air every 5 to 10 minuets. The whole area is transformed by geothermal heat and puts on display magnificent geothermal features such as bubbling pots, steam vents, spouting geyser, colourful ponds and beautiful colours. The are offers big service facility optimal for various lunch options and souvenir shoppers.
Only 10 min drive from Geysir is the iconic waterfall of Gullfoss (The Golden Waterfall) and it's stunning canyon. Gullfoss is alimented by the glacial river Hvítá that streams down from Langjökull ice cap and throws itself into a 70 m deep canyon it has sculpted over the last 10.000 years. Langjökull is Iceland's second biggest ice caps and can be spotted from the upper level parking on a good day. The beauty and power of Gullfoss has inspired many people and is not to miss. Well maintained walking path take you to all the best spots.
Kerið Volcanic Crater is a unique site with its collapsed magma chamber now filled with milky turquoise waters. Walk around the edge of the crater and embrace the Icelandic landscape or walk down to the lake's shore and admire the vivid colours of this natural beauty.
