After a good night’s rest, you’ll be ready for an action-packed adventure exploring Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle the next day!

Your adventure officially begins with the Golden Circle, a must-see route filled with Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, geysers, and historic sites. After breakfast, your private guide will pick you up for a day of geothermal wonders, powerful waterfalls, and unique dining experiences before returning to Reykjavík for another relaxing evening.

After a scenic drive, we will take a quick stop at Kerið Crater, a 3,000-year-old volcanic crater filled with striking turquoise water. Walk along the red volcanic rim or descend to the lake for a closer look at this beautiful geological formation.

For lunch, enjoy a farm-to-table meal inside a greenhouse at Friðheimar Tomato Farm. Using Iceland’s geothermal energy, this family-run farm grows fresh tomatoes year-round. Savor their famous tomato soup, served with homemade bread, or try one of their unique tomato-infused dishes and drinks, such as tomato beer or Bloody Mary cocktails.

A short drive from Geysir brings you to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most breathtaking waterfalls. Feel the power of glacial meltwater as it plunges 32 meters (105 feet) into a rugged canyon, sending mist into the air and creating vivid rainbows on sunny days. Walk along the viewing platforms for incredible panoramic views of the Hvítá River canyon.

Next, experience the raw energy of Geysir Geothermal Fields, where the ground steams and hot springs bubble beneath your feet. Watch in awe as Strokkur, Iceland’s most active geyser, erupts every 5–10 minutes, shooting boiling water high into the air. This is one of the best places to witness Iceland’s powerful volcanic activity up close.

End your day at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Iceland’s democracy. This stunning valley is also where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates drift apart, creating deep fissures in the landscape. Walk through Almannagjá Gorge, visit the historic Alþingi Parliament site, and admire the crystal-clear waters of Silfra Fissure, one of the world’s top diving and snorkeling sites.

Entering the Ice Cave: Equipped with a helmet, crampons, and headlamp, follow your guide into a surreal world of glowing blue ice tunnels and frozen corridors sculpted by nature. The deep blue hues and intricate ice formations create a dreamlike atmosphere, making this a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.Learn About the Glacier: As you explore, your guide will explain the fascinating formation of ice caves, the movement of glaciers, and the effects of climate change on Iceland’s frozen landscapes.

After taking stunning photos and fully experiencing the natural wonder of the ice cave, you’ll return to the Super Jeep and make your way back to the base.

Before heading back, you may have time to visit Hofskirkja, one of Iceland’s last traditional turf churches. Built in 1884, this picturesque grass-roofed church blends seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, offering a peaceful glimpse into Iceland’s past.
