This tour was a Master Class on the geology, Viking history, and cultural norms of Iceland - guided by Daniel - a professor at the University of Iceland, in conjunction with driver, Lucas. Not a moment was wasted, the trip moved like clockwork, with intellegent informative narration throughout the day. I learned so much and was inspired by the connections Daniel made between the tectonic and volcanic forces producing the Iceland’s landscape, the curious relations of land formations to space explorations, the harnessing of geothermal power as a source of economic development, as well as historical accounts of Viking discovery and drama. Sunny and Swavek? I apologize if I got his name wrong. They were amazing, so so nice. sunny was very knowledgeable and informative. She made us feel so warm and welcomed that’s a great quality to have in tourism. my daughter works for delta air lines and we’ve traveled the world and haven’t experienced kindness and warmth like that in a long time. swavek also did amazing with his driving i’m not sure how he managed to drive that very large bus in those little roads for 6+ hours but he did it and we felt so safe and cared for. These two made or time in iceland so remarked the tour was perfect to be able to see so much of beautiful iceland and just a few hours when we come back we will definitely be doing more tours through you.
